No. 6 in Best Regional University Values in the North
In U.S. News & World Reportās 2024 college rankings, St. Bonaventure is ranked No. 6 ā out of 167 institutions ā on the list of , an 11-state region from Maryland to Maine. The U.S. News list of regional universities in the North includes colleges that offer a full range of masterās degree programs. The magazine determined the value ranking using three figures from 2022-23: ratio of academic quality to price, percentage of undergraduates receiving need-based aid, and average discount.
No. 14 in Best Innovative Schools in the North
U.S. News & World Report ranked St. Bonaventure as the 14th Most Innovative School in the North for 2024. College presidents, provosts and admissions deans were asked to nominate up to 15 colleges or universities in their U.S. News Best Colleges ranking category that are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities.
No. 17 in Best Regional Universities in the North
U.S. News & World Report ranks 51³Ō¹Ļapp No. 17 in the all-criteria ranking of Best Regional Universities in the North for 2024.
No. 30 in Best Undergraduate Teaching in the North
St. Bonaventure faculty in the School of Education were also recognized by U.S. News, ranking 30th in the North for Best Undergraduate Teaching for 2024. The ranking recognizes institutions that have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates instead of conducting graduate-level research.

In August of 2023, St. Bonaventure was named one of the . For the sixth straight year, SBU was ranked in the top 15 for how well students from different backgrounds get along. The university ranked No. 15 nationally, and No. 2 in New York state, on the āLots of Race/Class Interactionā list, which examined how easily and frequently different types of students interacted.

- St. Bonaventure students told The Princeton Review that the universityās faculty, who come equipped with real-world experience and spark studentsā interest in a variety of academic disciplines, are passionate about helping.
- The universityās small size provides each student with āthe opportunity to tutor, teach, do research and lead during their undergrad (years),ā and the school has excellent career placement rates.
- St. Bonaventure students said the campus culture encourages students āto be respectful with each other,ā allowing them to ābond and form a group passionate for their small-town school.ā One student said: āIf door holding was an Olympic sport, we would win gold.ā
