Students in this four-week Spanish immersion experience earn 6 credits in Spanish.
Courses include:
- Span 201-202. Intermediate Spanish
- Span 301. Composition & Conversation
- Span 303. Advanced Grammar & Comp I
- Span 309. Spanish Civilization & Culture
- Span 335-435. Spanish Topics: Modern Language/Literature & Culture
- All Span 400 level courses
Students stay with selected host families, two students per family, with all meals provided. Also included in the program:
- 6 SBU credits in Spanish
- Spanish 201-202, 301, 303, 309, 335 to 435 courses
- Immersion program
- Live in Salamanca, Spain
- Room and Board with selected host families, 2 students per family with all meals
- Hotel and 2 meals during overnight cultural excursions
- Explore Salamanca from the past to the present
- Cultural excursions to Madrid, museums, Royal Palace, cathedrals, historical sites, Toledo, Segovia, monuments, sightseeing, special group activities, and more
- Enjoy Andalucia: Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla, cultural activities and excursion to Alcazar (Palace in Sevilla)
- Visit the Alhambra, Granada
- All cultural activities, Flamenco Show
- Books for courses
- Basic medical insurance in Spain
- All entry fees
- All transportation in Spain, including transportation to and from the airport in Madrid.
- Trip to Portugal includes hotel, breakfast and transportation. No meals.
- Class meetings and pre-departure orientation at St. Bonaventure
Not Included in the program:
- airfare from the U.S. to Madrid
- personal expenses
- a valid U.S. passport
- tourist form online
