    Feb 06, 51³Ô¹Ïapp | The university will host two upcoming programs that explore the 1965 civil rights marches from Selma, Alabama, to the state’s capital in Montgomery, that protested the denial of voting rights to African Americans.

    Jan 30, 51³Ô¹Ïapp | A book chapter by Dr. Tyrone Bynoe, associate professor of Education and director of the Educational Leadership program, and Dr. Genelle Morris, superintendent of the Olean City School District and an adjunct instructor at SBU, has been accepted for publication in a book titled "Problems of Practice: Case Studies on the Superintendency," scheduled for release in the summer of 51³Ô¹Ïapp.

    Jan 16, 51³Ô¹Ïapp | 51³Ô¹Ïapp has received another $500,000 grant from the Cabrini Health Foundation to benefit 30 Pell-eligible students in the health professions and education who might not otherwise have been able to attend SBU.

    Nov 08, 2024 | Brenda Cappy Gruhn, adjunct instructor of Counselor Education, presented at the Pennsylvania Counseling Association's 56th Annual Conference in Harrisburg. The title of the presentation was "Utilizing Mindfulness to Help College Students Manage Their Mental Health."

    Oct 25, 2024 | Dr. Ebony White, associate professor of Counselor Education, is the lead author of a book chapter titled "Reframing Termination through a Culture-Centered Lens" in the newly released textbook titled "Intersectional Counseling Skills: The Journey to Becoming a Culturally Inclusive Counselor."

    Oct 25, 2024 | Dr. Kathryn J. Andrews, assistant professor of Elementary Education, hosted a Nature Day event for Allegany-Limestone elementary students at Pfeiffer Nature Center in Portville.
